As the World Travel Awards (WTA) winner for the Caribbean’s Leading Conference Centre for four consecutive years (2003-2006), the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC) has been the venue of choice in the Southern Caribbean for many types of events including meetings, conventions, incentive events, awards ceremonies, banquets, weddings and wedding receptions in Barbados over the years.

Since 1994, LESC, formerly known as the Sherbourne Conference Centre and currently managed by Barbados Conference Services Limited (BCSL), boasts 10 meeting rooms and over 100, 000 square feet of floor space, catering to any event size, from as small as 10 to as large as 1,200 persons.

The centre has been the proud host of numerous events as follows:

• 32nd General Assembly of the Organization of American States (2002)
• 11th Florida Caribbean Cruise Association Conference and Trade Show (2004)
• Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference (2005)
• 12th African, Caribbean, Pacific (ACP) – European Union (EU) Joint
  Parliamentary Assembly (2006)
• Signing of the European Community Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)
  between the CARIFORUM and the European Union (2008)
• Caribbean Association of Indigenous Bankers (CAIB) annual conference (2008)
